Cancellation Terms, Conditions and Indemnity

Mentorships, courses, workshops, memberships, sessions, groups, classes and events by Spiritual Psychologist Alice Roorda

Please include the name of the mentorship, course, workshop, session or event in the email title.

Email is our only form of communication, unless your in the Starseed Rising mentorship. Please allow up to 48 work hours for a reply. This ensures the best clarity and record keeping for all communications. We will reply to your emails as soon as possible and in the order they are received. Thank you for your understanding.

 

CONFIDENTIALITY CLAUSE 

Everything discussed within the confines of any group or private setting within or related to a (mentorship) gathering, course, workshop, session, class, group or event within Starseed Living or Starseed Rising shall remain confidential and shall not be divulged to any third party. Everyone should feel safe to express themselves freely. 

Live events are often recorded and only used within the paid sections of Starseed Rising program, unless you are well informed otherwise. 

WE WANT YOU TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING COMMITMENT

Follow your own lead over that of Alice Roorda, guests or contributors.

Everything you receive in a gathering, event, course, class, inner circle or 1:1 session is a suggestion, an invitation, a support. It's up to you to decide how to use it. Honor yourself.

It is your responsibility to request what you need and take advantage of what is offered.

We can only take you to where you want to be, it is up to you to accept, integrate and implement it, or not do anything with it at all.

If you have any questions ask them.

Let us know in an email if something doesn't work for you. Outside of events, give honest feedback if something does not resonate with you, creates resistance or goes down the wrong way, or decide to let it go if that feels right.

This is a safe, loving and valuable space for everyone to show your vulnerability and your greatness.

You are welcome to show everything of yourself - every part of you participates in this process of deep connection with all that you are and in connection with others.

In order to carry this safe container together in the community and group, we ask you to always give space and be loving to what others contribute. Do you find yourself unable to do that? Then isolate yourself for a moment or two and take care of yourself and your own process.

Finally, we like to ask you to deal with disappointment around what is shared by the other participants, everyone is on its own path, you don't need to compare with anyone.

Try to keep everything said in any group setting within Starseed Living and Starseed Rising to yourself as much as possible, and if you do want to share something of your own experience with someone else, do so completely anonymized where it concerns other participants.

Do not provide coaching/advice without permission.

Only if someone asks specific advice from the group, you can share your wisdom and care with that person!

If there is no explicit request for advice, always first check whether this person currently needs coaching/advice before you step into the role of coach or helper.

Recognize the power and greatness of your fellow Starseeds, and their ability to carry their own process. Even if it seems they are in a more vulnerable position than you.

STARSEED RISING MENTORSHIP ACCESS

You have access to all content and upgrades of the program for a lifetime, or for as long the program exists. This includes program content, updates and coaching calls. Your access to the Facebook community remains for as long as you like. 

 

CANCELLATION, REFUND POLICY, and CHANGES TO MENTORSHIP

Your satisfaction within the Starseed Rising mentorship is our highest priority! We will work together to resolve any issues that may arise during the program.

Please note:

  • Refunds are not available for one-time or installment payments for the Starseed Rising mentorship program.
  • If payments are made in installments, the participant is required to complete all payments as agreed.

Failure to meet payment obligations will result in the immediate suspension of access to the program and its services. Access will be reinstated once the payment is fulfilled. However, the payment obligation remains in effect until all outstanding amounts are paid in full.

 

MEMBERSHIP ACCESS 

You have access to all content within your membership for the duration of the membership only. Your access to the Facebook community remains for as long as you like. 

CANCELLATION, REFUND POLICY and CHANGE MEMBERSHIP

Your satisfaction with the online events, courses, workshops, classes, memberships or groups within The Light Portal is of highest priority!

Refunds: there are no refunds for your membership. Be aware if you shift to another membership within The Light Portal within your membership month that payment for the new membership starts after 7 days, no refunds are given for the period of overlap. 

There are no refunds for private session packages. Sessions not used will expire as indicated at the purchase. 

Cancellation: Paid monthly memberships are charged after a 7-day trial period only. Your monthly membership starts counting from the day of payment only. You can cancel your membership anytime before the next monthly payment is due. 

Change membership: You can change your membership by purchasing a new membership, the 'old' membership will automatically stop as soon as you change memberships. All payments, access and emails related to your 'old' membership are automatically stopped when you purchase a new membership (free, seek or rise). Be aware if you shift within your subscription month, no refunds are given for the period of overlap.

PARTICIPATING IN LIVE GROUPS, SESSIONS, COACHING CALLS, CLASSES, EVENTS OR LIVE SESSIONS WITH ALICE ROORDA

Most live activities are via Zoom.

For the Starseed Rising mentorship the zoom link is accessible within the program in [my portal].

For Starseed Living Gatherings, Starclasses, workshops or otherwise you receive an access links within your messenger or your email, after you signed up and short before the event.

For other event: find the zoom links within your products in 'my portal' when logged in to the website www.aliceroorda.com/login

The 'my portal' menu option only appears once purchased something and logged in. Your access is only activated for the duration of your membership, but always activated for the Starseed Rising mentorship members. 

COACHING CALLS, PORTAL GATHERINGS, STARCLASSES, WORKSHOPS OR OTHER LIVE EVENTS

Withing the Starseed Rising or other live events: each event is recorded. Recordings will be stored and only accessible for mentorship or membership members. No personal contributions will be broadcast outside Starseed Rising, Starseed Living or other closed events, unless specifically requested and approved by you.

CHECK YOUR TECH

Live Streaming and Zoom Tech Requirements: Guidelines for a successful online experience

Being able to watch (streaming) events is fairly straightforward. Any reasonably current device - meaning 5 years old or less - from a smartphone, to a tablet, or computer will be able to view the livestream.

You’ll want to be sure you have a solid connection to the internet, either via a WIFI or hardwired ethernet connection to the Internet, or with a phone or tablet connected to a cellular phone network.

As long as you have a minimum and stable 5mbps of download speed you will be able to watch the livestream or participate in Zoom events. To check your connection speed, you can go to: Speedtest.net and run a speed test.

Note: Having someone else with a phone, tablet or computer on your Wi-Fi or hard wired to your network watching another video (Netflix, YouTube, Facebook, etc.) or downloading a file can severely degrade your ability to watch the course.

 

LIVE STREAMING AND ZOOM TIPS

If you have an older device running on an older version of Windows or OS X with an older browser, below are a few things you can do to increase the likelihood you’ll have a successful streaming experience. (NOTE: if you have a PC that is still using Internet Explorer, you may want to download Firefox or Chrome and use that as your browser.)

  • Clear your browser history before you start streaming
  • Update Flash so you are running the most current version of Flash possible on your computer
  • Update your browser so you are running the most current version of your browser possible.
  • Do a shut down on your computer, then restart prior to streaming. This reloads Flash and clears out memory.
  • Stream with only 1 tab open on your browser, the tab you’re using to watch the stream. This ensures there won’t be background scripts from other websites running on your computer.
  • Make sure you have sufficient Internet bandwidth to watch the stream. A symptom of insufficient bandwidth is seeing the spinning circle on the player screen, or the stream stopping and starting. You can check your bandwidth by going to speedtest.net. You need a minimum of 5mbps of download speed to view streaming.
  • If you can plug into your router rather than stream wireless, it’s more reliable, though not necessary.
  • Having someone else with a phone, tablet or computer on your Wi-Fi or hard-wired to your network watching another video (Netflix, YouTube, Facebook, etc.) or downloading a file can severely degrade your ability to watch the course.

I undertake any activities within Starseed Rising or Starseed Living (by Alice Roorda and others invited or authorized by Alice Roorda), such as coaching calls, gatherings, courses, groups, sessions, classes, workshops, events, calls, etc., on my own accord and accordingly indemnify the facilitator Alice Roorda (and others invited or authorized by Alice Roorda) from any harm, loss or damages of any nature, whether bodily harm, trauma or any other damages to my person or property resulting from the activity (coaching calls, gathering, class, course, workshop, group, sessions, calls, event, etc.), whether directly or indirectly.

By purchasing any gathering, membership, mentorship, course, workshop or attending an event under the name of Alice Roorda, Starseed Living or Starseed Rising, I am in acceptance of all terms stated in this document and indemnifies the facilitator Alice Roorda (and others invited or authorized by Alice Roorda), and her company Alice Roorda - FZCO from any future claim whatsoever.
